Lodge Library

What is this library?

The Edinburgh Defenders Lodge No. 590 Masonic Library is composed of ‘hard copy’ research materials generously donated to us for use by the brethren.

What types of books are in the collections?

The library holdings are divided into the following collections:

  1. Works by Masonic Authors intended for fellow Masons.  These materials can be loaned out for use, and should be returned to the library as key reference works.

  2. Non-fiction about Masonry or related historical matters, and

  3. Fiction of general interest to the brethren.

*Books from these latter two categories can be sold for nominal fees for the benefit of the lodge.
